Make Your Own Wedding Rings
Creating your own wedding rings is a truly special and unique experience to be enjoyed. There is nothing more romantic than making each other's rings. Visit us in Worthing, West Sussex, for an unforgettable day in the workshop with our experienced jeweller.
Since 2017 we have given one-to-one tuition to over 300 couples to make their own wedding rings, guiding them through every step of the process in our fully equipped jewellery workshop. No prior experience is necessary. The cost of the workshop is £375 per couple for the day, plus the cost of materials. Simple ring designs work best, but we can also add other design details such as bespoke engraving, flush set gemstones and shaping to fit around an engagement ring.

Designing And Making Your Wedding Bands
Making your own wedding rings is a unique and memorable experience to share as a couple as you shape the bands that represent your bond and love for each other.
We consider it a privilege to be a part of that and to help you design and create the perfect wedding rings for your special day.
Making A Wedding Ring With Orla James
As part of the experience, we provide lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
Once you have completed your rings, we will present you with a bottle of fizz to take away and toast your creative achievements.
Your rings will be sent off securely to be officially Hallmarked. Depending on the design, they will be ready within 4 to 6 weeks.
The wedding bands will be presented in formal ring boxes - just as they would if you had ordered them - to keep them safe and secure until the day of the wedding.
Memories to look back on
We can take photos on the day if you want to have souvenir photographs of you both at work on your rings.
The pictures can make excellent keepsakes to share with friends and family.
You may even want to include them in your wedding album.

We don’t have any previous jewellery design experience: does this matter?
Absolutely not. Most couples who enjoy our wedding ring design and creation process have never done anything like this before. You will be well looked after by our expert jewellery designers. They can help you as much or as little as you like throughout the process.
How long does it take?
From designing to actually making your wedding rings, the whole process takes one day (10.30am to approx 4pm).
If you are travelling from further afield – or want to make more of a weekend of it – you could always consider booking yourselves a short relaxing break. We are very close to the sea and a short drive from vibrant Brighton, where there is plenty to do and see on a weekend visit.
I would like to surprise my partner: can I come and make the wedding rings on my own?
Absolutely. We get quite a few people who would like to surprise their partner this way. All you will need is their ring size and – preferably – an idea of what wedding ring design they would like to ensure we can help you make the perfect band.
Are refreshments provided on the day?
Yes, we provide lunch for you and your partner in addition to refreshments throughout the day.
How much does designing and making our wedding rings with Orla James cost?
